The Relaunch of d’Parys

November 10, 2018

I was very kindly invited to the relaunch press event of d’Parys showcasing their private dining area and new bar among other improvements.  d'Parys is a hotel, restaurant and bar situated down De Parys Avenue, a 2 minute walk from Bedford High Street.  (Website, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)

We received a lovely warm welcome by the PR team and were offered complimentary drinks straight away.  There has been a bar extension and immediately could see that the restaurant was more open than before which made it look a lot bigger.

The new bar area had a rustic feel to it and in the seating area there was a fire next to comfy chairs which gave a homely, cosy feel, perfect for the up-coming winter nights!

To the left was The Library which can be rented out for private events and can seat up to 22 guests.  This is where we were seated and brought cocktails alongside an example of their delicious 'build your own' deli boards which you can create yourself from different options on the menu.  I absolutely loved this idea, what better way to ensure you get exactly what you want.

We had lime and cumin hummus which was fragrant and fresh with peppers and celery sticks, mixed olives, garlic roasted peppers which were amazing, Israeli couscous which was a first for me and my favourite was the crayfish bruschetta with coriander and balsamic, a combination that went very well together.

The new d'Parys menu has a wide variety of different options including fish dishes, steaks and home comforts.  There’s a separate breakfast menu which is available from 7am – 10am Monday to Friday and 8am – 11am on Saturday and Sunday.  They also offer a menu for kids and sandwich menu so there is plenty of choice for everyone!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to go back, if you haven’t seen the refurbishments at d’Parys yet I would definitely recommend checking it out!

Special thanks to Storm Communications and Charles Wells for inviting me.
